Brookfield

Brookfield is in northern Fairfield County. The two largest lakes in Connecticut border the Town, Candlewood Lake to the west and Lake Lillinonah to the east. The population is approximately 16,500.

Danbury

Danbury is in northern Fairfield County. It is the fourth largest city in Fairfield County, and is the seventh largest city in Connecticut. The population is approximately 80,000.

New Fairfield

New Fairfield is in northern Fairfield County. The town has a total area of 25.1 square miles. The population is approximately 14,000. New Fairfield is one of the five towns that surround Candlewood Lake. Candlewood dominates the eastern side of the town and extends both north and south beyond the town borders. Squantz Pond, Ball Pond and Margerie Reservoir are also in New Fairfield. New Fairfield is right off I-84 and is 50 miles from New York City.

New Milford

New Milford is in Southern Litchfield County – 14 miles north of Danbury, on the western border of Connecticut in the beautiful Housatonic Valley. To the west is Candlewood Lake. It is the largest town in the state in terms of land area at nearly 62 square miles. The population is approximately 28,000. New Milford is a few miles north of I-84 and is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes from Manhattan.

Sherman is the northernmost and least populated town of Fairfield County, Connecticut. The town has a total area of 23.4 square miles. The population is approximately 3800. Sherman has been named “Best Small Town in Connecticut” three times by Connecticut Magazine. Sherman is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes from Manhattan.
